Depending on individual suitability and the equipment being used, cryolipolysis may be considered for localised areas of subcutaneous fat.
Areas discussed during consultation may include:
Abdomen
Following an assessment, cryolipolysis may be considered for localised areas of subcutaneous fat around the upper or lower abdomen.
Flanks
Cryolipolysis may be considered for localised fat around the sides of the waist, sometimes referred to as the flanks or “love handles”.
Thighs
Selected areas of the inner or outer thighs may be suitable depending on the individual and the amount and distribution of subcutaneous fat.
Upper Arms
Localised areas of subcutaneous fat on the upper arms may be discussed during your consultation.
Back
Depending on suitability, we may consider treatment for selected areas of localised fat around the upper or lower back.
Not every area or individual will be suitable for treatment. Your consultation allows us to assess this before you decide whether to proceed.
Cryolipolysis is not intended to produce an immediate transformation.
Any visible changes following treatment are not immediate and may develop gradually. The extent and timing of any change vary between individuals.
We cannot guarantee a particular reduction, measurement or cosmetic outcome.
Is cryolipolysis a weight-loss treatment?
No. Cryolipolysis is a cosmetic body-contouring treatment intended for selected areas of localised subcutaneous fat. It should not be advertised or considered as a treatment for obesity or a substitute for healthy weight management.
Does cryolipolysis permanently remove fat?
We don’t advertise cryolipolysis as providing guaranteed or permanent cosmetic results. Individual responses vary, and your practitioner will discuss the intended treatment process and realistic expectations during your consultation.
Is cryolipolysis painful?
People’s experiences vary. You may experience cooling, pulling, pressure, or temporary discomfort during treatment. Sensitivity or altered sensation may also occur afterwards.
Is there any downtime?
Recovery experiences vary. Some people may be able to continue their usual activities after treatment, while others may experience temporary effects such as tenderness, swelling, bruising or altered sensation.
For this reason, we do not describe cryolipolysis as having guaranteed “zero downtime”.
How many treatments will I need?
There is no single number suitable for everyone.
The number of sessions considered will depend on the treatment area, individual circumstances, response to treatment and your agreed treatment plan.
How quickly will I see results?
Visible change is generally not immediate, and individual response and timescales vary. Your practitioner will discuss realistic expectations with you.
Can cryolipolysis treat male chest fat?
Fat around the male chest can have different causes, and not every concern in this area is subcutaneous fat.
If gynaecomastia or another medical cause is possible, we may recommend a medical assessment rather than assuming the concern is suitable for cosmetic treatment.
Can cryolipolysis tighten loose skin?
Cryolipolysis is primarily used as a body-contouring treatment targeting localised subcutaneous fat. We don’t promise it will tighten loose or sagging skin.
If skin laxity is your main concern, we can discuss whether another Lipo 360 treatment may be more appropriate during your consultation.
